Re: Killzone 2 (PS3)
Damn, I want to pick this up, I am just afraid that with both MLB games coming out...it will fall to the wayside. I loved the demo, had a fricking blast with it.

Re: Killzone 2 (PS3)
Through custom game types, I'm almost certain you can set this up. You'd have to set max players to 4 and then play the Body Count mode (aka Team Deathmatch) and the online server will split them up into two teams of two.
Oh yeah, you can set it up where everybody chooses their faction or have the game do it automatically for a random team makeup.Last edited by Hoos; 02-27-2009, 12:25 PM.XBL Gamertag: hoos4974

Re: Killzone 2 (PS3)
No Hardcore mode!!! Although, through custom game types, you can turn off the radar or have it only show the enemy when he's firing. I didn't care for the radar while playing last night so it's nice to see that you can turn it off in the custom game setup. But there's nothing in the options as far as turning off the on screen crosshairs or increased damage (quicker deaths).Comment

No Team DeathMatch or Free for All at all?.....Wow, who takes out the most played Multiplayer Game Modes? That would be a really Idiotic Move if it is true. Could someone please list the Game Modes with a description of what to do in them for me please? I am thinking about getting this but with Halo Wars CE and RE5 comming out that I am surely getting I need to pick wisely. Another thing is I dont have a PS3 Bluetooth Headset and really dont want to spend $50 on one. I have the PS3 Eye Toy with the speaker but I am not sure if that works with games as a mike. Right now with RE5 and Halo Wars CE my total on Gamming is like $165.00 because of the Overnight Shipping Charges.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Killzone 2 (PS3)
Assassination
- The target receives 10 Individual Points if he survives the mission.
- Players receive 5 Individual Points for mortally wounding the target.
- Players that assassinate the target receive 5 Individual Points.
The defending faction can only win by keeping the target alive outside his base camp during the mission. Remember that a mortally wounded target can still be revived, so have medics on standby to save a wounded target and the mission! The attacking faction wins by killing the target before the time runs out. During Warzones, Factions play two rounds of the Mission, both as the assassins and target side.
Bodycount
- Players are awarded with 2 Individual Points for each enemy kill.
Friendly kills and suicides do not count as a kill, but lead to loss of points. Factions win by killing the predetermined number of enemy players or by having made the most Mission Progress when the mission timer runs out.
Capture & Hold
- Players killing enemies in a friendly Mission Area receive +1 Individual Point per kill on top of the point scored for killing an enemy.
Factions win by either holding friendly Mission Areas for a predetermined amount of time or by having made the most Mission Progress when the mission timer runs out. A Mission Area is deemed friendly while your Faction is the only one in the area.
Search & Destroy
- Attacking Faction players get 3 Individual Points for placing an explosive charge that successfully detonates.
- Defending Faction players killing enemies in a friendly Mission Area receive 1 Mission Point per kill on top of the point scored for killing an enemy.
The attacking Faction wins if they destroy the Mission Objective. The defending Faction wins if they prevent the attacking Faction from destroying the Mission Objective until the mission timer runs out. During Warzones, Factions play two rounds of the Mission, both as the attacking and defending side.
Search & Retrieve
- The player that returns a Mission Objective successfully is awarded 3 Individual Points.
Factions win by either returning the predetermined number of Mission Objectives or by having returned the most Mission Objectives when the mission timer runs out.Comment

As far as Deathmatch, I agree 100%, why would they leave out the most popular game modes for FPS gamer???. At this stage, I'm convinced that it's not an option right now. I've been through the online menus 3 or 4 times so far and just can't find itI may be missing it..........at least I hope I am.

Search and Retrieve - Locate and pick up and return a series of items to a specified location before the time runs out
Search and Destroy - Locate and destroy a target before the time runs out.
Capture and Hold - Locate, capture and hold a target area before the time runs out.
Assassination - Assassinate a specific member of the opposing faction. Or defend a specific member from being assassinated.
Bodycount - Team Deathmatch
I really like the way this is set up. You can play any of these game modes separately if you choose, or play them all in a best of 7 format. I actually prefer the latter, because it keeps things moving and fresh. It is kind of a bummer that there is no single player deathmatch, but honestly once you play it you will not miss it at all. 32 players makes things very chaotic and exciting. Last night I was able to get a lot of kills.
Also for those who were wondering about clan support there is an entire universe devoted to clans. With tournaments, rankings, etc.Last edited by LingeringRegime; 02-27-2009, 01:03 PM.Comment
