Even if that is true, that is not what you said. The unreal creators said nothing about the eyetoy and I don't think that anyone cares about the eyetoy right now. All the other games that were shown weren't actual games and that's been confirmed by everyone.

The Unreal Creators said their demo was real time and even played around with it live. Nothing pre-rendered. And all the stuff you say nobody cares about is what Sony themselves actually showed. Sony sin't trying to hype anyone up.

BTW, show me the links where it shows that every single video is fake.

I never said that unreal game was fake so I don't know what you're talking about. I don't need to look around and give you links, if you want to know then you can look for yourself. I have no reason to make anything up especially when all the evidence is in the e3 threads. I haven't seen anything other than the unreal and ea videos that has been confirmed as real and I wouldn't expect them to have anything real since the ps3 isn't even coming out until next year.

No, you are the one who has to prove that what you are saying is true since no one but you is claiming that there are 6 interactive demos and that the movies that were shown on the ps3 were real time.

You talk like the Xbox didn't try to dupe gamers at E3. They had games running off of PC's and not an actual Xbox 360.

This was known well before E3 that the Xbox 360 games are currently running on alpha kits (Mac G5's), as the final hardware is not ready. This was the same case back at E3 in 2001. The PR people walking around the Microsoft booth were telling people this, when demoing a game for the Xbox 360.

You would think that people would learn from the EA - VC/Take Two war that taking sides and arguing over junk like that is moronic.

Exactly, I'm glad I'm not the only one that finds this argument flat out stupid...If your like me you have the money to get both and I'll be happy. BTW they should change the title of the thread because obviously its not a true statement, with the EA and Unreal game being real time games.

Most of the demos were pre-rendered using a software application like Maya or 3dsmax, and shown as supposed real-time gameplay. Developers are a very proud bunch, and if those videos were in-game, you could bet your house that they would have done whatever they could do to prove it. Those games would have been on the floor running as playable demos, but they weren't of course. Sony went out of their way to show us the tech demos(like the ducks and grass growing) were realtime, as did Epic and EA with their games, yet why not for those pretty trailers?

To believe that a company like Guerrilla, in the short span of a few months, on a dev kit no less, created a playable demo like that goes against all convention. That looked like a game in the closing stages of development, not one that is a year or two away from completion. Game development doesn't work like that, sorry. The truth will someday come out that Axis Animation was quite involved in the trailer, much like they were in the original Killzone.

Good marketing move on their part, because it took away from MS's thunder, and hooked in many from the sea of gamers out there. Thing is, those trailers might very well come back to haunt them once those games start coming out. Time will tell all.

Having said that, I would still encourage those with the $ to pick up both systems, because they will both offer games that appeal to everyone.

Nobody is taking sides, at least I'm not. I've already said that I'm not suprised that some of the demos weren't real because the system isn't coming out for awhile. It's pretty hard for people to make games for it when it doesn't exist. What I have issue with is the fact that they tried to pass the stuff off as real when even the developers have said that they aren't real.
