    Question about games in HDTV

    Can you play games in High-Def with an HD ready tv without getting the box or stallite from you cable or satillite provider?

                I also have a Cube, do you need the same kind of cable for that too?

                  Yes you need special cables from Nintendo. Most game and electronic stores do not carry them so you usually have to special order them from Ninetendo or from another internet company.

                    I'm pretty sure Nintendo has stopped making them as well. The new Cube's do not have the output on the back of the system. I got my component cables a long time ago, but I remember reading where people were paying 60-70 bucks on Ebay for a set.

                      Yes...That's the first thing you should do. Check the back of your Gamecube (or the manual probably) and see if you have the port for the cables. I got my cables around November from Nintendo's website for $29.95...Don't know if they still have them.

                        I used to have 60 dollar monster component cables for my xbox. WOuld those have worked for HDTV signals????

                          you still need the connector for the componant cables

                          60 bucks is a bit much for something you can get half that price easy
