I am starting to think the same thing about it. Oh well.

Re: E3 is no longer useful as a trade show.
I have to agree with the writer of the article. Years ago E3 was pretty tight on only letting media members into the show but now everybody and their grandma can get a pass to go in.
Those people are there to just play the games, gawk at the boobies, etc.... they don't really care about what the game companies or developers have to say. More and more companies are starting to release their information or demos behind closed doors.
With each passing year, E3 is becoming more of a free for all. I wouldn't be suprised if big named musicians or fire-breathing midgets are at the show next year.
Until they crack down on the number of passes handed out, it's only going to get worse. -

what's up sonic,
i have to agree, this year was by far the worst e3 i've ever been to in my 8 years of going. i have my media pass so i got to go to the press conferences to see the ps3, cause there was no friggin way i was going to wait in line 2+ hrs. ea didn't show anything at all. they showed madden ( not for 360 ), nascar and college football.
i was very dissappointed and downright pissed at the show, they had better get their acts right next yearComment

Re: E3 is no longer useful as a trade show.
Even though I've acknowledged about 2-3 E3, I surely have to say that this one wasn't as itnersting as before. All I heard was females and females. It kind of got bland for me after the unveiling of the consoles. Though the games look hot, I'm kind of cooled off of everything. Maybe it was because of the hype of all the consoles being unlocked and the upgrade in the video game industry. I don't know what it was but it sure wasn't as exciting as last year. Last year was tight because of the lack of ball massaging and fanboy love. Maybe I contridicted myself in an earlier post but this truly was a lackluster E3. Won't even know how it turns out until next year. Hopefully they get their flow worked well. We'll see. Great article....Comment
