If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

So an xbox site is reporting a story that says the ps3 is going to be inferior? Imagine my surprise...

          Come on guys, think.

Did you read the story? The comments are from Jobs.

For general purposes Jobs is right. It's not really designed for general purpose computing, which is what Apple would use it for.

Steve Jobs(from Apple, not MS) not being impressed by the Cell for PC applications is old news, not a teamxbox exclusive. They actually posted it much later than many neutral sites out there.

I did, but it didn't cause me to make the leap in logic some of you have. Tha fact is you and I have no way to know what sort of agenda Jobs might have had in making such a statement. All I'm suggesting is that an xbox site is probably the last place on the planet one should look for info on the presumed capabilities of the ps3.

true, we might not know Jobs' motivation, but at the same point I don't think his relationship with Microsoft and Bill Gates has been all roses and lollipops

They've been "enemies" for about 30 years now.

Re: Steve Jobs Not Impressed with the Cell Processor

I think that article is interesting, not because of the cell, but because of the x86 chip they were talking about. I would definitely buy a PC that could run apple programs as well as Windows and its programs, that would be nuts.

What does someone from Apple know about gaming?

perhaps not about gaming, but I would tend to trust his opinion on a chip over my own, based on experience (and I've actually learned quite a bit about this stuff, I can read all these technical sites and know what a L2 Cache is used for)

Straight to the point. Makes me really wonder what Sony is seeing in the future. Apple looks like it's going to make a big leap in a few months, Microsoft seems that way too. I won't hate on Sony, but will wait to see. But this really makes me laugh hard inside cause Sony is talking so much (through their father) but hasn't really backed it up too well. Maybe it's just me though. What happened at E3 was a great example. Kind of like the devil luring prey. Though it looks good....
