    Batman Begins (Game) Review

    IGN review-- http://ps2.ign.com/articles/625/625794p3.html

looks like a rental at best ... Looks like the Gameplay kills it DEAD

    9.0 Presentation
It's a little short at six hours, but Batman features cool film clips, lots of extras and a generally solid framework.

    8.5 Graphics
Faces are great, but apish animations can be lame (on ladders, especially). A sloppy camera prevents us from appreciating awesome environments. Finally, there's the liquid cape.

    7.0 Sound
Movie pros provide good voice work. The music is equally cool. Some of the positional effects and audio mixing is way off, however.

    5.0 Gameplay
You are required to think precisely never. Please leave any and all deductive reasoning and reflex-based combat / platforming skills at home. They are completely unnecessary.

    5.0 Lasting Appeal<br>
It's a very short game. While there are some extras, they seem to be made available immediately following first completion, and so there's really no reason to play again.

Good game. I gotta return it tomorrow. I wouldn't recommending buying it. Like the review said, it's way too short. Those hoping for something like Hitman will be dissapointed IMO. It's not really a hard game. Not challenging. Mainly because there not much thinking involved.(Hate to say the exact same stuff the review said, but it's completely true.)

Again, waste of money if you buy it IMO. Rent it once or twice. By the first rental, you'll be done for sure.

While I agree with a lot of what they said, giving the gameplay a 5.0 is way too damn harsh though. This was a fun game as long as it lasted. It is almost like they are putting it on par with that DRAKE game. I would give gameplay a 7.5 at least and knock the "lasting appeal" down because it was short. The game didn't suck gameplay wise.

sounds like a solid rental though, and that's not always a bad thing.

Beat the game once. Then all 4 will be unlocked.

That's what I figured. And there's only one other Batmobile to unlock, correct?

I finally played this game and it was terrible. I honestly have never hated a game as much as that game. I returned it right after I bought it(it was used so I got it cheap).

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I enjoyed the game, a lot. But I guess I'm biased being a Batman fan.

One of this things that I hate was how everything was context sensitive. I wish they would've given us total freedom over what moves we could do and when we could do them. It's boring when you can't do anything until a certain situation occurs.

I enjoyed it as a rental but I don't like being guided all the way through the game much like jmood said. That approach should have been done away with during the SNES days.
