God of War on the fearsome God Mode

I've just reached the Cliffs of Madness again and one question keeps on running through my head...."Am I going to be able to beat the final bosses on God mode?!?"

Has anyone at OS actually beaten this game on God mode? I've heard a lot of failed attempts but wanted to play the game again anyway. Since I'm towards the end, it'd be great to hear a success story to keep me going! Guess we'll see when I get there though... but I have a bad feeling it's going to be impossible.

Once you start upgrading the blades of chaos and getting better magic, it actually gets a lot easier...minus some fights that just take dying to figure out an approach to beating certain obstacles - and a durable controller from me launching it on occasion!

I'm def. gonna try out God Mode at some point but havn't gotten around to it since I'm addicted to MVP.

Welp, I made it to the final battle. Once I got through the cliffs, I blew through the last level and couldn't put it down.

The boss fights on God mode are about as hard as I figured. I beat the first form of Ares by using rage of the gods and then the army of hades repeatedly. By the time I beat him up and get to stage 2 where I have to defend my family, the rage of the gods is restored. Only problem...it's not helping that much! I basically go as far as I can and then use rage of the gods and as many army of hades attacks as I can before infinite magic wears off. I only tried about 10 minutes and since the game's already kept me up all night, I'll worry about beating it another day. If I can endure the Kratos clones, stage 3 might just be insane since one good shot from Ares might shift all the energy to him and end the fight.

Let me know when you get there SportsAce, this is going to be rough!

Good luck. I gave up on beating the 2nd form of Ares on god mode. If you can get past the 2nd form, the 3rd is actually pretty easy from what I have read.

Once you start seeing the Kratos clones with the large swords instead of the blades of chaos, you are close to the end.

Make sure you have full magic and near full rage of gods going in. Use the attacks that knock guys off their feet. Use rage of gods, and then cast one magic and then a different one and repeat until rage of gods expires. You can get off around 4 or 5 poseidon's and 1 or 2 hades.

It's pretty much about luck and I had none. Good luck.

I'm making it as far as the Kratos clones with the Blades of Artemis but I get killed then. The worst part is that when I go to save my family, I pull off a grab move on one of the clones which is a death sentence. Or when I try for poseidon's rage and tab circle too soon, grabbing my family instead by accident with a swarm of people around me. Not good. And neither am I anymore!

Worst part too is that you really need to put the game down and shut it off, but you can't because the 3 battles are one after the other!

Have you given up yet SportsAce? I won't admit to giving up, but I don't like picking up the game anymore! I've got a great strategy for the second part too that's working but not getting me to the third part. Seems pretty unbeatable at the moment.
