    Next Gen Consoles..At first thought it seems

    like a no brainer, but I remember when the PS2 first dropped. It was a graphic beast. All the games looked good, but the gameplay was horrible. The first NBA Live on the PS2 comes to mind.

    A lot of the games I am seeing are gorgeous, but will they focus on graphics out the gate and we get buggy, lacking gameplay out the gate?

      Interesting question. THis is in response to the PS3 which might not have the ability to be patched like the XBOX. I wonder about that sometimes. That's why I'm considering waiting until after the release date to get my system (360 of course) just to make sure that it's been worked on and fixed to better work. I think they'll have a good flow of games that don't have those bugs. Plus, one thing that does make a difference is the fact that a lot of the things that they added into the games conflicted with each other. A lot of things were cut out. They don't have to cut out as much stuff and that could reduce the bugs and glitches within the game. Just a thought....

          It always depends on the developer. Every launch has some stinkers, but it looks as if quite a few devs were planning for this thing for a while.

              I hope you are right. I dont want to get got this time around. I may wait for them both to be out a while and see what the reviews say.

                  I think some developers have realized by the now the importance of gameplay over graphics.

                      I already know that there will be a ton of stinker titles coming out this year through the next. I'm sure many companies developmental deadlines will be met and they will be forced to put out a gorgeous game with crappy gameplay. Its hows its always been. I'm sure most companys would like to delay so they can get the gameplay perfect but these publishers who promised launch titles will put the game out "as is".

                      It takes about a year before we get some quality titles out there with the exception of maybe a few at launch. There will be some at launch but few and far between for quite some time. Think back to when the PS2 and XBOX xame out. How many games can you recall that were pure classic material after debut? Not many.

                          I agree. Just thinking about the PS2. I searched all over ATL one when it dropped. I got NBA Live and Madden and the games were beautiful but full of glitches. Heck it was impossible to even get a jumpshop to go in on that version of Live.

                          I think I may have to wait too.
