    Question about Wireless Adapater

I recently moved into a new apartment and my roomies and I are getting our internet connection off of someone else's modem in the complex. We don't know whose connection it is but in any event, it's a great thing to have free internet.

My question is, since I don't have a modem or ethernet jack in the apartment, I obvioulsy can't go onto Xbox Live. If I bought the Wireless Adapter, would I be able to go onto Xbox Live even though I'm getting our connection from someone else in the complex. If it works for my computer, will it work for this??

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Question about Wireless Adapater

Quick answer is, yes. Since you are already getting 'free' as in mooched internet access from someone in the building by your wireless laptop or desktop.

Just pray that your victim doesn't realize they are beeing leeched off of and decides to encrypt their connection.

Just a word of advice - don't get caught. What you're doing is illegal and you could face serious charges.

          Happened to this guy:

Although I do believe having an unencrypted WLAN is as much the fault of the owner of that WLAN as it is the person stealing the signal. Then again, my opinion doesn't matter to a court!
