Is the SOCOM series still relevant?

The reason I ask is because I received an invitation from Sony to beta test SOCOM 3. I beta tested #2, but quickly got bored with it.

Admittedly, SOCOM was "da bomb" back in the earlier PS2 days, but since then, the Ghost Recon series on Xbox and Battlefield series on PC have really commanded a lot of my time.

BF2 on PC is now my FPSer of choice and it will be hard to go back to the SOCOM series on PS2 just because it's cool to beta test games.

    No.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Socom is still hot man, the game averages more player hours online than the entire Xbox Live community.

            Do you even own PS2?

Anyways, SOCOM is still BIG. Servers are still LOADED with people (my brother plays the game). SOCOM3 is gonna add ALOT to the game. It's gonna be totally different.

It may be fun beta testing it, I'd try it out. From what I see on Gamespot, S3 is gonna be crazy.

so you got in? I accepted the beta test E-Mail too late. Not that it would have mattered because I don't even own a PS2 but it would still look nice next to my Killzone Beta.

No? You do realize that at most times during waking hours, that around 20,000 people are online on the North American server???

What other console game has THAT many people playing at one time????

Halo 2 has around 88,929 as I type this.

However, I will give you that I do not know the exact number of North Americans on that alone.
