I need your help. My PC and internet connection is located on one side of my house. There is a couple of walls and then my living room where my Xbox is. I want to connect this via wireless, but the last time I tried, the signal wasn't strong enough to get an IP address. What can I do? What would I need to buy?

Xbox LIVE W/Router Question
Hey guys,
I need your help. My PC and internet connection is located on one side of my house. There is a couple of walls and then my living room where my Xbox is. I want to connect this via wireless, but the last time I tried, the signal wasn't strong enough to get an IP address. What can I do? What would I need to buy?Tags: None -
Re: Xbox LIVE W/Router Question
You should get the wireless to work through a couple of walls with no problem. Have you tried one of the new routers like the Linksys? If that still doesn't work, you can buy devices called signal boosters or repeaters, they will just take the signal and "boost" it. Make sure you have the signal strenght on the router set to 100%. -

I bought a Linksys router from Radio Shack with the Xbox adaptor and the signal was real weak. The funny thing is it picked up my neighbors IP address and the house is much furthur away than my office is to my living room.Comment

I tried, but the signal was too weak.Comment

Ya. I returned the router and the adapter while ago when I found out it did not work.
Thats why I want to ask if anyone knows of any good routers to use that covers a large area.Comment
