"Rape is both a violent and sexual act. I dont think people go out to rape with the intent to be violent...I think they do it more based on the fact of sexual frustration/fantasy and the fact their pretty sick in the head. I didnt major in pysch and behavior in college either so I dont really know...

I just think it is quite interesting that most european countries who display sex, and are more confident and secure in their sexuality, experience less rapes and molestations in their country than the U.S. does. I would assume their society accepting sex more openly then the states has something to do with it..."



I know someone that has been raped so I'm a little biased. I don't know if sexual attitudes in other countries effect the countries rape numbers because I do not have access to their statistics, where are oyou getting this information?> I just don’t see how having access to more porn would stop someone from raping people.

I think people are meaning more the "responsible upbringing" aspect...like you can drink at a lot younger age in most European countries, and because it's not a taboo, I don't think teens there go quite as crazy with alcohol, no trying to do 21 shots on their 21st, etc...

Things could be better if parents responsibly taught their children about sexuality and didn't make it so taboo, but I think I'd also agree that I'm not sure it'd really cut down on rape that much. People who rape have serious issues going on, same with murderers, and I don't think that goes away with making sexuality more acceptable and open. Rape and other violent crime is a combination of many factors, so it's kinda different IMO.

Thanks, I think we have to factor in people not reporting rapes in other countrys also . They can be killed for reporting this .

I think negating the number of rapes is somewhat plausible, yet most countries that 'kill there victims' are many middle eastern countries which wasnt part of my arguement, because they also have a taboo on sexuality, more so than the US...

I think european countries are comparable to the US, and either way a factor of non-reported assualts will be the same in most countries...I think based on numbers wise these are pretty accurate and 8,000 (UK) - 90,000 (US) is pretty substantial...I dont think the UK has 90,000 people who dont report a rape...and if they do the US probably has 180,000...

Its just an interesting thought along with a possible correlation that countries with more lenient views on sexaulity have a much lower rape and assualt numbers than countries with more taboo views...

kind of hard to interpret when you have to factor in the population size of the US vs. the population of England or wherever...I mean England's probably the size of Ohio or something, land mass wise. While I'll agree that the US probably has a higher percentage of rapes, etc, these numbers are slightly misleading, because obviously the US will have a lot, we have a ton of people.

Hillary is just trying desperately to reach out to the conservative religious part of America for her run in 08. Its not going to work. The Government needs to stop telling us how to live our lives. Apparently they released a patch that now clothes the ladies.

This action makes the whole situation even more asisinine, considering that they are perfectly willing to allow players to view having their heads vaporized by a Desert Eagle at point blank range.

I honestly fail to see how showing a nude girl in various sexual positions is worthy of censoring, while shooting someone in the face, and then repeatedly beating their dead body isn't.

Furthermore, by opting to censor the naked lady, and leave all the other brutal violence unchecked just makes this whole fiasco even more laughable.
