    San Andreas available anywhere?

OK, so I have held off on getting GTA:SA until I had some money back in my checkbook. Now I have this money, but I've been hearing the game is being pulled from everywhere. Now I am in no rush to get the game for the "hot coffee" purposes, but I do want to get it so I can play it before football camp opens on August 13. Is there anywhere I can find this thing? I really don't wanna wait till the season is over in December.

Which version are you looking for, pc xbox or what?

I had to go buy some pc parts yesterday and I saw some Pc GTA S.A games on shelves at CompUsa. I paid no mind to it though.

I believe they are still sold everywhere, because:

        1) Isn't this thing only for the PC?

        2) They only suspended production until the:
        a. Programming code is changed, or
        b. Rating is changed

Check out a store, see if they have it.

I was at Gamestop on Monday and the clerk told me that GTA for xbox is no longer being sold or produced. He also said Gamestop would not take the game in as a trade-in either (mainly b/c they won't sell it). Interesting.

It's been pulled off the shelf everywhere. I think Take2 has to reproduce the game without the specific code in it, and then repackage it with the new adult rating. I tried to order one off Amazon, and it immediately refunded my money...

Ebay is you're only hope, but fools are paying $70-80 dollars new for the game...no thanks!

The Hot Coffee mod is in all 3 versions. The PS2 is the only one that doesn't crash after running it though. The Xbox version crashes. The PC version was a straight mod. It looks and behaves a little different from the PS2 version. I still own the PS2 version of the game, which will end up probably being the hardest version to find again.

Gamestop and EB won't even sell used copies of the game. Basically, you're only chance is Ebay or a mom and pop store because by now every other store has already sent them back.

Well, this is CompUSA, so you may have. If you looked hard enough, knowing them, you may have found a Xbox 360 laying around..LOL

there not selling it online either. Rockstar should not only keep the feature in, but make it available from the start to evceryone. Whether they take it out or leave it in, the game will get an adult rating, so why in gods name are they taking it out?

                          Re: San Andreas available anywhere?

I have a ps2 version that has a circular scratch on it because of my stupid ps2, but it works fine. I might sell it someday if someone wants the circular scratch along with it. lol

anyways, it's pretty lame what stores are doing to this game all because of an oldy who thinks he knows what's right for our nation.

Yep, Target had GTA:SA in their weekly flyer for $39.99, but when I went through the electronics section there was a big notice saying they are not honoring the ad because it is against store policy to sell Adults Only rated games.
