How can I go about hooking up an XBOX to a PC monitor and speakers? What equipment, if anything, will I need to buy and how much will it cost me?

you can go the USB route or the PCI adapter route.
It's just a TV tuner card/tv tuner box.
You can go anywhere from 15 bucks to 300 bucks.
It can also fall into the catergory of DVD editing software and video recording.
Check out your local compusa near the videocard section.

I have the x2vga adapter to connect the Xbox to a PC monitor. I no longer have an Xbox, so if you're interested in buying it let me know. It's in perfect condintion. , I never knew you could do that. I guess I won't be pushing for an HDTV anytime soon now that I've found this. I need a new computer though cause mines is lacking a bit. Maybe I can find a way to sell it and upgrade or something.

Just use the VGA out and AUDIO out and avoid the IN inputsComment

Yeah, you don't need a PC to use the VGA adapter. I used to take my Xbox to work and just use an extra monitor that was laying around.Comment
