    Some PS2/GameCube Questions...

I have had a PS2 since launch and just recently added a Gamecube to my collection. For the most part I only play Cube exclusive games and play the rest on PS2 but now a couple of games I want to pick up are available for both systems and I'm not sure which system is best for which games. The games I want to pick up are Madden 06 and Marvel Nemesis: ROTI. Does anyone have any idea which systems would run either game better than the other or does it really make no difference, because all things being equal I find that the GC has much quicker load times. What do you guys think?

If I had both systems, I would go with the system that had an "exclusive" feature for the system. What I mean by that is, Fight Night Round 2 had the Super Punch game available only on the Gamecube. On NBA Street: Vol 3, EA added a couple characters from the Mario game to play with. Usually the games boil down between Xbox and PS2, so if there's no exclusive feature for the Cube, I'd say go with the PS2.

Go with the Gamecube. Graphics on Gamecube are far superior to PS2. It's just different (and better) hardware that it's running on.

I don't know about superior graphics and such but I have noticed games tend to load faster and run better on gamecube. I have heard the smaller discs limit the audio and FMV they can put in the game. Would this hurt a sports game like Madden (i.e. less commentary)? Even though when I think about it, less of maddens annoying ramblings isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Man I didn't know about that Super Punch Out feature. Fight Night for GC just got on my list of games to pick up. I am a sucker for buying back my old games.
