    Xbox Controller Problem

I'm having a problem with the left analog stick on my xbox controller. It seems to be off balance or something. So far I've only had problems in Madden. When I move the stick left or right, the players go really slow, like they are walking. And sometimes when I'm not even touching the stick, a player will move to the left or right on their own. In my last game, I completed a pass to Coles, and he had open field ahead of him. But instead of scoring he started running toward the sidelines, and by the time I got him straight, the defense had caught up.

Anyone else ever have any type of problems like this, and do you think there is anyway to fix it? I really don't want to have to buy a new controller.

I have a logitech wireless controller for xbox and I have not seen any problems with the left analog stick. Is your controller the stock one that comes with the xbox? I know for the logitech wireless there is way to re-calibrate the sticks but I do not know if there is a way for the stock contollers.

Actually, I just called someone and try this:

Turn the system on and press L + R and start. This can possibly re-calibrate the sticks.

If that does not work, with the system on un-plug and plug the controller back in!

        Good luck!

Try this. Usually the controllers calibrate themselves when you turn the system on and if the controller is stuck with one of the analog sticks not centered it reads whichever way they are stuck as the center.

I had some simular problems and just went into "Controller Layout" switched between the selections available and put it back to "Default" after that no problems...I did notice some buttons have different functions and theres even a "NFL Street" set up in there thats very different from traditional set ups so check those out to maybe you'r missing one of the buttons needed to respond to what you're inputing via your controller wouldn't hurt to check and look bro.

How do you do that to the logitech controllers? For some reason, one of my wireless controllers has been doing almost the same thing as nyjets. Before the snap(espn) the player that I have selected moves around and to the side without me touching the left thumbstick.

Happened to my launch controller. It's as if there is something jammed inside and it makes the left stick really hard to move from left to right. I thought about maybe putting oil so it can move more freely, but I said f-that and just bought a new one.

                  You guys need new controlelrs.

                    1] Remove one battery.

2] Hold the Left Trigger and Start button while re-inserting the battery.

**Do not touch or move the analog sticks at all during the whole process. The analog sticks need to center themselves, moving them will cause the calibration to be off!**

Well, I tried what was suggested, and I'm still having problems with it. Guess I need to get a new controller.

I have a Pelican Soul. It is wireless and has a voice communicator built in along with the black and white buttons on the shoulder. It seems pretty good but the only problem that I have with it is sometimes voices sound weird on it.

I get this problem a lot with my S-Controllers. Usually, before I start up the game I will move the stick all around in a circle and this seems to help. This also happens sometimes with my D-Pad.
