Do you think the graphics and Capabilities of PS3 will be that much superior to 360?
I know some of you out there know much more about the specs of these 2 upcoming consoles. I haven't had much time to look into them. I was thinking about going with the 360 since it comes out sooner. I am not sure if the PS 3 is worth the wait as I only want to purchase 1 system. I also figure that they will probably port a lot of the games between 360 and PS3 as they do on the current systems. To me the graphical and perfomance difference between PS 2 and Xbox is not that big (for me at least). Thanks for any inisght you may have.My School's National Championships:

I'm just saying looking at the specs between the Xbox and PS2 you can see a clear difference, that's not the case this upcomming generation. A couple of people have already came out and said this, including John Carmack just recently, "It’s interesting in that the platforms are closer together in the upcoming generation than the current generation.
There is a much bigger difference between Xbox and PS2 than there is between Xbox 360 and PS3.
There were clearly important design decisions that you would have to make if you were going to be an Xbox targeted game or a PS2 targeted game, and you can pick out the games that were PS2 targeted that were moved over to the Xbox pretty clearly. That’s less of a problem in the coming generation because both a high-end PC spec and the 360 and the PS3, they’re all ballpark-ish performance-wise."

Re: Do you think the graphics and Capabilities of PS3 will be that much superior to 3
We've reached an age where graphical power is almost irrelevent. Games looks so good now that its becoming harder and harder to see which hardware is superior. Even in this generation, the best looking PS2 games compare favorable with the best looking Xbox games. There isn't going to be much of a discernable difference between the 360 and PS3, can't say for sure how the Revolution will compare though.Comment

I just hope game developers climb on board, or are invited aboard or whatever the case is.Comment

It'll definitely come down to which system will release the better lineup of games. I don't know, but to me, I think Sony definitely holds the edge in this one (selection-wise, anyways).
BTW, just to sway off-topic slightly, is Sony redesigning a controller for the PS3? I saw some photos, but I have no clue if they're legit.Comment
