I guess.
To the original post, I would bet around October it drops to around $100, but nothing is confirmed.Comment

I said I guess so.
BTW, M$ were losing money with the Xbox, selling it cheaper than what it would acutally cost.Comment

Money is made through the games, not the consoles
When Xbox 360 comes out PS2 will likely drop in price. Xbox will drop in price to compete with the PS2.
Like ExtremeGamer, I don't know what you're trying to get at.

Re: XBOX Price Drop ???
Well, the loss that MS was taking on each XBox is probably a thing of the past. By now, the components are much cheaper and the manufacturing process has been streamlined, just like with any product late in its life cycle. In 2001, 733 Mhz Pentium 3 chips and 8GB harddrives were relatively expensive, but now I'm sure they can be had for peanuts, especially in the volume MS orders.I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!

A friend of mine told me yesterday he heard 360 would be $360...I don't know if he's correct though. He claims to have read an ad.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"
