    Eb Upselling

I don't think I will ever go back into my local EB again. I went in to pick up a couple of copies of Guild Wars and the dude rattled off like 10 freaking things he wanted to sell me.. I kept saying NO NO NO NO .. finally I just glard at him like I was going to hit him and he stopped. I can understand upselling manuals to soccer moms but man they are out of control with this crap. Does Gamestop do the same thing?

Actually the EB by my house doesn't do this. The Gamestop does though.

The Gamestop will ask about manuals and then ask about any future games I might want to reserve. I use the same credit card everytime I go and they must have a profile on their customers in their PC because when asking if I want to reserve any future titles, they always ramble off games I've bought in the past.

I don't buy many games so I find it odd that they ramble off the titles that I always buy.

That company is b***s**t. I ask them what they would give me for my xbox. They said 60 dollars . I said how about I trade you my xbox for a used playstation 2 (for Socom 3). Which I feel is a fair trade in some since, fair to them. They wouldn't do it. Those scum bags would give me $60 and then sold it for a $ 100-120 dollars.
Is this reportable to the buisness bureau. Also doesnt Gamestop own EB now HMMM MONOPOLY.

EBAY I guess is the way I have to go.

Not exactly. There are many other video game stores so it's not even close to a monopoly.

It's also not reportable to the Better Business Bureau. They can't do anything with how much EB/Gamestop or any other video game store wants to give as a refund for a used game/console etc....

I'll answer both, no. You must not know what a monopoly is either.

EDIT: Ack joeboo beat me to it.

My local EB is great, my Gamestop is the one that sucks.

Game Crazy is the place to go, but you have to have a blockbuster that has one, most around where I live are just regular blockbusters..

                  Re: Eb Upselling

The reason for the upselling is the fact that all EB Games stores, and EB Games employees are compared and tracked on UPT's (Units Per Transaction.) Ideally they want this to be around an average of 2.0 (2 items sold per transaction.) The higher it is (the more items sold per transaction.) the better it is.

This kind of stat is tracked and ranked accross the district and the country. It also counts on overall stats for the month.
