I keep hearing people talking about there getting there xbox360 at gamestop on the first shipment and some say 2nd . Whats this all about ? iI pre ordered mine may 13th the day after the mtv show . What shipment would that be?

after speaking with my gamestop guy TODAY

he says my store has 127 preorders, and he expects to have a unit for every preoreder on launch day. apparently microsoft plans on moving shipments around to insure that customers who have expressed intrest with a preorder will have the console on november 22nd. he said this means that stores that dont take preoreders (target, walmart, best buy, etc....) will have far fewer systems to sell to the public, because MS wants to make sure they get consoles to people who WANT the 360.

The whole "1st shipment, 2nd shipment" talk is derived from how the PS2 was handled when it was released.

All it means is that your preorder guarantees that you'll have one of the 360's that arrive at your store in time for launch day. You won't have to wait until that store gets it's 2nd shipment of units.

Like dagger said, it's believed that Microsoft is going to make every effort to satisfy as many preorders as possible on launch day.

In other words....no worries bro. If you preordered the day after the MTV Special (which I did), you'll have one waiting for you on November 22nd.

I WANT it but don't have any stores that take pre-orders on systems so this isn't good.
