Yep. Nintendo knows how gullible its fanbase is.

Make a crappy controller, that has attachments in store for release later on, FOR AN ADDITIONAL COST... thats so smart of them..

Are you forgetting controllers for next gen systems are $50?

          Your point?

Throw in a joystick attachment, a gun, a wheel, and whatever else Nintendo can come up with to make people buy in order to play games, and it's gonna be a heck of a lot more than $50.

When you think about it, $50 isn't all that bad for a next-gen controller when you consider that it is wireless and you will get a lot of good use out of it. Plus aren't the wired 360 controllers going to be less than that?

The thing is, we don't know if you need the wheel or gun attachment to play a game. It could simply be an enhancement over the normal gameplay. Kinda like the old Rumble packs.

How else are you going to play racing games, sports games, fighting games etc? You are going to have to buy an attachment eventually.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Yeah, the basic controller is not going to cut it for "regular" games. You are going to need some sort of attachment, no matter what.

my point is... YOU DON"T KNOW if controllers and attachments will add up to over $50, Nintendo's market isn't 20 and 30 year olds.

seriously, Sony totally marketed the PS2 as side standing, and then they charged you like 10 or 20 bucks extra for the damn stand...don't think other gaming companies aren't gouging you, you'd be blowing smoke up your own ***

Come to think of it, remember the NES had this detachable part on the very bottom of the console. Looks like it was a slot for some add on that never made it out to the public. Anybody know what the hell that was for?

Just one of the random questions that I've always wanted to know.

I think that was for the R.O.B

                            Very interesting concept..

Whether it actually works or not, we'll see.

The controller seems very lacking for sports games; specifically football, where icon passing has become the norm.

Ahhh...the useless robot that was sopposed to carry cartriges to your console? I think I seen it in action one time in my life. It was the first time I played a NES at a friend house. I think ET was out around the time.

There were 2 games that actually needed the R.O.B. in order to play them to their full capacity.

It was a total failure on every level as it never even worked properly.
