I have a friend who works in the gaming industry. He writes for various magazines and has a website. He's italian BTW, but you can read the site just fine.

Anyhow, if anyone wants to know anything in particular, let me know and I can ask him. He seems pretty high on this game for whatever reason. Has been telling me about it for a few weeks now.

I've only played Multi and the Predator mode is among the best I've seen in any FPS online for consoles. One person (or more depending on party size) is the predator with special powers and everyone else is trying to get a sonic generator powered up before the predator gets them. When the predator is close by, your controller shakes, and you can hear a heart beating, when the predator is right next to you the shaking of the controller and the heartbeat become much more rapid. It's simply the most fun mode I've played in an online game in a while.

I just picked up Far Cry finally today. I haven't played online yet so I can't give any info on that. I've played single player about 3-4 hours. I just got up to the point of the game where you get feral powers. Its pretty dam funny because you can melee attack guys and they go flying in the air while screaming at the same time. Its just hilarious and a lot of fun. If you like to run and gun fps with some stealth now and then you should enjoy this game. There are also vehicles that you can drive every now and then which is pretty cool. The graphics and audio are both very good. It is a pretty linear game but it is still a lot of fun. Like I said I haven't touched online mode plus their is also a map editor where you can create maps and upload them on live for everyone to play on. Now thats cool.

Quick question.... You can only play 1 player Multiplayer on Live? You cant have like 2-4 people playing split screens on X-Box Live, like Halo 2?

mmm, I haven't tried but I'm pretty sure there is split screen play but I'm unsure whether you can do split screen on xbox live. I'll have to check tonight.

I played it a little on xbl last night and didn't see an option for split screen on xbl.

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I just found some maps on codejunkies.com that you can get via action replay. There's one guy on there who is very talented and his maps look as good as the ones that shipped with the game. I'd like to get a huge 16 player game going at some point tonight, so if anyone wants to try out the new maps just add me, dave360

Still great. I haven't played much of the single player, but XBOX live play is great. This is the equivalency of Counterstrike on the PC for the XBOX with the amount of maps being made on XBOX Live and the quality of them.

Plus if you don't have the map you just dl it from the host. I love it on Live.

Didn't want to start a new thread so...

Can anyone help me out? Every time I start this game it plays the extremely long intro movie and I can't skip it. Does anyone know how to skip it?
