    XBOX 360 Backward's Compatibility question?

Microsoft has clearly stated that to play normal XBOX games on XBOX 360 you need a harddrive to download patches or emulators off of xbox live to acount for the differences between the Nvidia graphics chip vs the new Ati chip.
My question is this. Could this allow the shady pirate community to create emulators for XBOX 360 to play PS2&1 discs? I dont know much about the technical pausibility of this?
