    Favorite 2D side scroller games of all time?..

    1-Castlevania:Symphony of the Night(PS1)
    2-Super Mario Bros 3(NES)
    3-Contra 3 The Alien Wars(SNES)
    4-Golden Axe(Genesis)
    5-Double Dragon(NES)

      All the Castlevania games.
      Metal Slug also.
      The original Abe's Oddworld.
      Sonic 2 and CD.
      Mario's.
      Final Fight.
      Shadow Warrior/Ninja Gaiden (the good arcade one)
      Double Dragon 2 (arcade)
      Ghouls N Ghosts.

      Probably more I forgot.

              Ah yes, Shadow Dancer, one of the Shinobi games actually(not Gaiden). Great arcade game, wasn't as good on the genesis though.

                                  Man, those games were the ish!! I loved Empire Strikes Back the most.

                                  Anyway, how could I forget Contra. First NES game I ever owned. Me and my bro also beat it the same day we go it. Talk about replayability.

                                  River City Ransom counts also. That was a 2D side scroller. To bad the game was unbeatable.

                                  Another good one I remember putting in some work with is Bad Dudes. "I'm Bad"!!!

                                                  All the Sonic games; I owned all of the regular Sonic games for Sega Genesis at one point, and most of em for Game Gear. Back in the day I was quite a Sonic the Hedgehog fanboy...

                                                          I didn't think that sonic would classify as a side scroller. I loved those games.
