    Guy's HElP.........

I looking to buy and HDTV, but these two I'm looking at say HDTV-Monitor, does this mean my games won't play through HDTV, I don't have a lot of money to get a real good HDTV, but I can afford one of these 4 listed below, I also don't have any room for a big one. Please look below and let me know if these two TV are worth it. Thanks.

you can play games in HD on all of those. That Samsung is not a widescreen tv I believe, so stay away from that one.

You won't be able to watch TV in HD unless you get a box from your cable or satellite company, but you can still play games in HD on them.

I have Optimum cable here in NY, and these do indeed give you a HD box if you have a HDTV, so i guess I'll be fine. Thanks Heel.

Hey Heel I was thinking about this one, is this one a lot better in your opinion.

yeah, I like Samsung TV's my self. Plus, they are cheaper than Sonys. Sony is good too, but a little over priced in my opinion.

don't worry though, with this tv, all you do is hook up your xbox 360 and instantly play games in HD.

oh, that Samsung has a built in HD tuner. you could just get a regular antenna for cheap and watch your locals in HD if you wanted. If you plan on getting HD through your cable company, you don't need the built in tuner. A tv without it would be cheaper.

right. BUT your cable company probably offers some channels in HD (Like ESPN for example) that you would not be able to watch unless you got the special box from your cable company. You might want to check how much the box and HD package is. So if you were tight on funds and didn't want to spend the $$$ on the HD package from cable , you would still be able to watch your locals in HD with that tv as long as you bought an antenna, which are pretty cheap. Usually less than $50.

fortunately for me I don't have to pay extra for an HD box, I can just go to my cable company or just let one of there Techs come and they will install it for nothing. Thats why I wouldn't mind it at all.

The only prolem with this TV is, doesn't it only have one Component video input, if so how are you going to keep your xbox and your hd cable box hooked up, it will force you to only have one hooked up.

480p/480i jacks will be for a dvd player
1080i/720p jacks can be for your xbox
HDMI jack can be for your HD cable box (assuming that the box has a HDMI Jack on it)

                            Football... I've got this TV!!!
As well as their 34" widescreen.
You'll be really happy with it.

I've got the cable box going into the on 1080i/720p slot.
As for the 2nd slot... i ended up getting a componet system selector from gamestop. I've got my XBox, PS2, and DVD player running into that. It's a nice way to have a bunch of hookups to one input. The quality doesn't seem to be any less going through the selector box VS direct cable.
