I like when people backpedal after stuff like this. It's one thing to disagree with Microsoft and how they talk and this and that, but to come out and try to obliterate them on tv and have the rest of your buddies on the same channel be the same way....just not kosher. I mean...Morgan Webb was kickin' Microsoft's butt at E3 for God's sake.


EDIT: Someone was right...I'm sick of seeing those old Arena episodes. Where's the new sh*t!?

G4 seems to be showing to much of that formula one/The whip set or whatever the hell its called and what the hell is Fastlane doing on that channel? What does either have to do with videogames, thats just ridiculous.

lol im watching what p2k was talkin about right now. it's wierd, all of a sudden they got into anti 360 mode outta nowhere. from what the rep at microsoft said, i don't believe the xbox bashing was necessary. all the rep simply stated was that sony's tech was 1000 bucks right now.

im a sports/fps gamer. so i cant say that im too excited about the launch, although i do have one preordered.

Launch to me isn't all that exciting because it's a rough entry of the 360 IMO. They have that deadline to beat Sony to the market which does make them kind of sloppy looking with their lineup. Honestly, I don't think I'll buy a game that is 360 this year. Not until I finish playing my games on the XBOX that I've been getting into. I'd buy NBA 2K6 but I have it on current already. Would buy Live but it ain't my style. The other games I know I won't buy because they're not my original type of preference. However, they are pretty nice and worth the try eventually. G4 is garbage when it comes to their opinions. Still, controversy is a great way to keep them on your lips....

NBA 2K6 looks amazing and I'm excited about Madden despite all the crybabies on the internet. Tiger Woods might make a dent in my pocket as well. What about Perfect Dark Zero and Quake IV? This is the best launch line-up on any system and all people do is complain.

I think they go off on Microsoft because Tech Tv used to be owned by Microsoft, and maybe they hated being owned by them.... or maybe they just hate the system.

from what ive seen out of madden and nba 2k6, im not overly excited. i am obviously intrigued to see what "next gen" plays like..

graphically, and gameplay wise madden hasn't made me lose sleep until launch. we already know what madden has to offer for the 360 version in terms of gameplay; thousands of more animations seems to be the meat. but after seeing the gameplay videos, and ive even seen the new three videos that were just added today in the madden fourm, i can't honestly say im excited. also, we all know that the first edition of madden will be pretty rough around the edges and that rookies won't be able to be imported from ncaa. needless to say i cant wait until next year when both ncaa and madden will have had time to create masterpieces.

as far as 2k6, from what ive seen, graphically seems to be beefed up quite a bit (though its prolly from early builds, since it was very buggy). yet, once again im not losing sleep counting the days till launch. not to say that in the next month, smoother gameplay vids will come out to make me turn 180 degrees though.

PDZ was sounding pretty bleak, but i have seen video from the x05, and it seems to be shaping up. still though, from what ive seen once again, nothing too extrodinary.

quake, i have yet to hear or see anything about, so who knows. ive never been a huge quake guy though.

this is a star studded "launch lineup" with names like madden 2k6, pdz, i just hope they will be well developed games (i expect pdz to be the game of choice for the first couple of months). i want to be losing sleep until 360, but im not .

I agree, based on what we've seen. I've read alot of positive things on-line from people that have actually gotten to play some of these games and I haven't heard many complaints. I also spoke to the manager at my local EB and he was amazed at what he was shown and played at a recent corporate function.

Wow, to me it has the best launch lineup of any system yet. And the games look amazing, look at PGR3 or Kameo and tell me that can be done on this gen. Oh well, different strokes for different folks.

Exactly. And my point on G4 since it must have been hard to read the first time was: They dismiss the launch for 360 and then sat they are being blown away by what Sony is showing them yet admit they are only being shown videos and can't wait to see actual in game footage.

I spoke with a guy at EB who got to play the 360 and I trust this guy since I'm always in there and he's always honest with me. He was going on and on about what he played for the 360 and how awesome the games looked.

I know everyone saw the E3 coverage in May and how all the G4 people were going off on Microsoft and Adam Sesler's on-screen ball drop when he grilled the rep from Microsoft.

But now I just turned on the tv and Attack Of The Show was just on and I saw Kevin Perreira go on this rant against what Peter Moore said at X05. He basically put down 360 saying the graphics aren't next-gen. Then they played a clip of Moore saying something about Sony and their Blu-Ray technology. Perreira then said that while Blu-Ray does indeed cost a thousand dollars RIGHT NOW, there is a reason why the PS3 is coming out NEXT YEAR. Huh? Soooo what.....in a year, the price will go from $1000 to $250? Please.

Anybody know what is going on with all those folks over at G4? I have nothing against not them not liking something, but it seems like everyone on that channel has an agenda against Microsoft and the 360.

I really haven't been impressed with what I've seen eaither. They're more of high end PC graphics than some mind blowing next gen graphics. Xbox 1.5 as of now...

Gears of War, Madden, and NBA Live are the only decent games I've seen so far.
