Does it make sense for microsoft to have that xbox360 every 10 min give away If there talking about there being a shortege on launch . There losing money.

Not a bad idea. Though it's a shortage, they'll still be making the majority of their money on video games of course. You also have to realize that it's bringing money to those other companies they're signing deals with so their no necessarily losing money. By the way, where did you hear that there was going to be a shortage? I heard they have 2-3 companies mass producing 360s for them. It's all apart of their marketing plan though. Gotta look at the big picture....

Yeah, they aren't losing money. It's a co-promotion w/ Mt. Dew and Pepsi, in which a percentage of each product you buy, a portion goes to Microsoft. They aren't just donating them.

Im assuming theres a shortage when places like gamestop cant fill a preorder from june 20th . they said they will only be able to fill the may preorders . So i checked amazon and walmart online and there saying sold out . Im hoping its just a hype game microsoft is playing . Oh thanks for your reply.

Every hour for us Canadians. 960 of them for that contest. They are giving the codes away,you don't need to buy anything. I've enterd 25 times and didn't win yet.

Also have to realize that a lot of these companies aren't really holding 360s for preorders like Gamespot & EBgames. Though you could probably get them, you'd pretty much find enough systems on launch day. It also depends on where it is.
