Stubbs the Zombie
Any impressions? I've been interested in this for awhile, but haven't seen a single review.Tags: None -
Re: Stubbs the Zombie
Well, I picked it up, haven't played it yet, but it looks great. That and it's made by the Halo team, so it should be good. -

Re: Stubbs the Zombie
Played it some. So far, I really like it. You can tell the Halo guys made it by the menu's and set up's. It feels very Halo 1 - esque. By the menu's, profiles, stage selection, controls, etc. The graphics are odd, has a weird 50's grain to it. The soundtrack is great, it's a bunch of 50's tunes redone by new artists. Liked that and it sounds good. Controls are smooth, like I said, exactly like Halo. It's 3rd person, so it's different in that aspect. Basically, it's a new age town set in the 50's that uses robots to make life easier. Basically, you hop out of the ground and start to turn the entire town into zombies. Everyone you "kill" becomes a zombie that follows you around, well sort of, they are slow and dumb so they walk into things and get lost. To kill the normal folks, you either eat their brain or just attack them. I guess later on you can rip your arm off and take over people with weapons. I drove a car, and it laid down sod, so I shot sod at random people, quite funny. There is also a fart button where your extremely dead gas will stun anyone around. And also, later on you can throw your insides at people. Funny stuff! The cops will come out and they finally realize that they have to shoot the zombies in the head, the head blows off and zombie dead. You of course have a longer life...and it regenerates when you rest. I saw one review that complained about how slow Stubbs walks, well, he does walk slow, but you have to remember, he's a ZOMBIE! And it's not that slow, at least not for me anyway. For me, it's a completely different type of game, it's open ended, not as much as say GTA, but you can still wander around killing, err, converting random people. I think it's a solid title, and after one night, would give it a solid 4/5 or 80%. I'm a horror film freak though, so take that into account.Comment

What's the objective of the game? Do you just go around eating people's brains?Comment
