    Waiting in line for 360?

I plan to hit up my local wal-mart for the release of the x-box 360, but I was wondering how early I should show up? I guess they are releasing it at midnight. Anybody have any input on how early to get there to be sure I get one?

If they are releasing it at midnight, I say get in line at 6 pm.

If they are releasing it in the morning, i say get there at 1 or midnight.

When the PS2 came out, I live across the street from a Best Buy. I woke up at 4 to get in line and there were already 300 people there. Now it may be different because there was a PS2 shortage at the time.

Do you guys really think that many people will be buying it on release day considering the price? Maybe resellers.

But its going to be cold as hell to be standing out there for more than 5 hrs.

Dang, ya'll kats be tweaking. I'd just wait for the hype to die down or at least order online. Never waiting in line for a video game. Not even a movie for that matter. I don't have the patience or mindset to stand out there for more than 20 minutes. Only thing I'd do that for has to be rollercoasters. By the way, aholbert32 you're saying something aren't you? There won't be a shortage due to their massive productions going on correct??

I don't think you would have to get there real early, it depends on where you live. Also, I heard ToysRus is supposed to be getting pre-sell tickets soon, so if you haven't pre-ordered, you might want to check your local ToysRus.

Yes, for 2 reasons. One the regular version is the same price as the PS2 so price wont be an issue for most gamers. Also, this is the first next gen system so there will be a rush on them. Thank god I preordered mine.

You are right but its not like i live in a metropolis. I live in Columbia, MD. With the PS2, there were long lines at 6 in the morning at 2 Best Buys, 1 Target, 1 Sears and 1 Circuit City. Dont underestimate the power of the first new next gen system/

This is the first console that's going to try launching in the 3 major regions within weeks of each other. Top it off with it being the first next gen system. That alone will put strain on allocations. Nobody really knows if it'll cause a shortage. I'd be prepared to get in line, but you probally won't have to.

I'll be in line regardless, although I have one preordered online. If I do find one at Wal Mart, then I'll pick it up, and sell the other one. I just want one as soon as I can find one.

LOL. Funny how I was always like that but some side of me thought it would be fun if other activities were going on during the wait.
