Sorry if this has been discussed before in another thread. Did MS set the price? Or was in a combination of other reasons? I'm still getting three games at launch, Madden 06, Tiger Woods 06, and NBA 2K6. Sixty bucks plus tax is a hard pill to swallow though. Three games=almost 200 bucks. Yikes. I better start working some OT.

yea but if you look at it 10.00 more for the quality of games that will be coming out will be worth it. even if you got a minimum wage job like me, just look at it as if you have to work 2 more hours to pay the difference. shouldnt be too bad.Comment

I'm not at all surprised the price for games is being raised to $60. The way companies were releasing "special edition" games for $60 seemed to be foreshadowing a raise.

I realized this for the most part makes 0 differance in Canada.
While making room for my comp in my game room I found a bunch of old reciets from Xbox & PS2 games and most were 69.99$,now everything is 10$ more instead of 20$ like it was then. The 49.99$ American games are 59.99$ now here and used to be 69.99$ so it's just a small step back here.Comment

I wrote a article on here that stated the price increase on the 360 for games. The increase is only about 1 million compared to what they thought it would be which didn't seem justifiable enough to raise the price. So far, the games haven't been officially announced at their proper prices. It's all speculation from what I'm hearing so far. System is already in stone, XBOX Live is in stone, next step is the games....Comment

After about a year the prices will drop. They are able to do this at launch because its new. they know people will shell out an extra 10 dollars because its a new console. I like how PGR3 is 49.99 and is one of best games available at launch.Comment
