Man, the PSP has been coming out with some solid games lately - Virtua Tennis, X-Men Legends 2, and now GTA. Now I am actually crazy about playing it now...and SOCOM is coming out in the near future tooComment

IGN have LOW expectations for PSP games. That review sounds like it should get 6 or 7. Apparantly the aiming is terrible and the camera's are worse.Comment

I agree and that's why I may end up passing on this one - it looks fantastic, but the frustrating gameplay imbalances and poor aiming system are not good things at all. I might wait for SOCOM instead and use the cash for Civ IV. Besides, X-Men Legends 2 and Virtua Tennis are more than enough to keep me busy on my PSPOriginally posted by Admiral50Comment

I just picked it up, and to be honest, I think it's a great game, and really showcases what the PSP is really capable of. Great looking game, very smooth, and loading times are (from what I've seen), very reasonable.
My question with the IGN review, is that most of the things they picked on - targeting, stupid cop AI, etc. has sort of been there in all the other GTA games, so I saw them more of "universal" nit-picks.
That being said, I think that the targeting could get hairy, especially when you need to move around fast AND change targets. But in the missions I've done, it's worked ok.
Side note - I'll echo the comments that I'm finally getting some use from my PSP with the games coming out for it. It also seems really cool that they are already doing a lot with the connectivity between the PS2 and the PSP. Curious to see exactly what they do for SOCOM.Comment
