It's probably going to help cut down on the frenzy for launch day. Instead of tons of people fighting over both system and games the crowd will be more focused on just the system.
If I were buying an Xbox on launch day (and I'm not) I'd get the game the week before. It's one less thing to fight over on launch day. -

well its a whole lot easier to ship games than it is to ship system. you put 50 games in one box. it would take half a UPS truck to ship 50 systems.
stoes will probably start recieving 360's by the 15th. But MS wont let them sell til the 22nd, when all stores have their shipments. Stores can sell all the games they want to, because it doesnt matter to MS... cant play it without the system.
So basically, my point:
MS doesnt care if stores hold games or not. They are just concerned with teh 360 being released the 22ndComment
