Games likely to be over looked

These games look good but have bad release dates:

Trapt is coming Nov 1st. so are From Russia with Love,Guitar Hero,Call of Duty 2 and Castlevania. IGN reviewed it a few weeks ago and gave it 7.5 (wich is good for an odd game like this and they say it's really fun): http://ps2.ign.com/articles/657/657604p1.html

Fatal Frame 3 is being released Nov 8th,up against Matrix: Path of Neo,Gun and Harry Potter. Did well enough to get 2 sequels but this one has some really bad timing.

Taxi Driver (based off the old movie) and Metal Slug 5 decided to come out on Nov 15th wich is when the 360 launch titles are set to be released along with SD vs. Raw 2006,MGS 3: Subsitance,Half Life 2,True Crime:NYC and Pirates of the Caribean.

Yea no love for Stubbs. I can't even find it anywhere. It got some really good reviews.

I almost rented Call of the Cluthu today but didn't like the look of it on the back of the box. That had bad timing too. RE 4 and Soul Caliber 3.

Battlefront 2 just had 90% of a game show on Spike dedicated to it where they mentioned part 1 was the best selling Star Wars game ever so I don't think that counts as overlooked.

What's wrong with the look of Call of Cthulhu? I just picked it up myself, haven't played it yet, but the back of the box doesn't seem to give any indication the game's going to be bad.

Granted the game doesn't take advantage of the Xbox's use of 16 : 9 or progressive scan, I've been hearing great things about the game itself.

Operation Flashpoint Elite.

It will be overlooked for a few reasons:

1. It's an ultra-realistic first-person shooter. It makes Battlefield look like Halo 2, from what I've been told and read. So the Counter-Strike and Battlefield crowd won't like it, as it will be too hard.

2. It's a console port of a PC game that was released four years ago to rave reviews as one of the most realistic first-person military shooters ever. The game has been reworked for the Xbox, but people still will moan and say it's "just a port" even if that's not true.

3. The graphics aren't that hot. Codemasters has put the complete emphasis on the gameplay and realism, so the graphics are about the quality of the first Ghost Recon for the Xbox. Not that great.

I could care less. I LOVE realistic military shooters, so I'm stoked for Flashpoint!

I'm pysched for Star Wars: Battlefront 2

Various forums are abuzz with stores tonight breaking the street date of tomorrow, so this game is hardly overlooked. There's a very big pre-release buzz for this game.

What?
They both have high ratings and Halo 2 has higher.
I wanted to play Flashpoint when it first came out by my comp wasn't good enough.

Call of the Cluthu just didn't look good on the box. Not sure why.
