With microsoft saying there will be a big shortage for a while on 360,s. They want to put them out slowly they say . But i say know matter how slowly there putting them they will only be filling preorders . And thats a bad thing . Because if people who did not preorder and have to wait like 4or5 months to just walk in and buy it will just lose interest and fall into the ps3 hype. What do you guys think . Oh i preordered mine in ny gamestop on may 17th and im not a lock to get one on nov22.

May 17th and not a lock? That's insane! I dont like this shortage garbage. I preorderd mine around labor day and would doubt getting it on the first day. (There is always Hope). I am trying to map out a plan to hit up some stores that dont do preorders on the 22nd. I dont see how a shortage is good for business. These systems should sell well during the x-mas season shortage or no shortage.

I think it's a marketing ploy by MS. They just want to increase the hype so people will be in a frenzy to buy one.

Remember that shortage that was supposed to be the Xbox?? Remember the dumb bundles that EB made you buy? Well, there was no shortage and those bundles lasted all of 3 weeks.

I serioulsy doubt there will be a big shortage on 360s I mean think about why would microsoft do that they have the money to manufacture enough product. I think if theres demand for the 360 microsoft will supply it.

I agree, its all marketing. There is no way microsoft would only have a few 360's available so close to Christmas.

its possible . remember the ps2? there was a shortage and ppl were selling them for up to 1000$ on ebay.....

in a way, i am glad i preordered it late - cause i know if i went with the launch & didnt get it, i would not be too happy..
