Call of Duty 2 for PC, anyone?

Got the game late last week and hot damn. REALLY tight. I played the last one (and its sequel) to death and I'm happy to report that this one keeps everything that made the first game great while sprucing up the graphics and sounds. The maps are very nicely done, from the layouts to the variety to the little texture details that were missing from the first game. And the sound is truly some of the best, most immersive and deep sound I've ever heard in a video game.

Anyone else get it? I haven't even touched the single-player game yet, but the online multiplayer is a blast. One change I forgot to mention is that they took away the sprint button that was present in COD1, which means there's a little less run-and-gun action in this game. But the action is still fast and furious on the close quarters maps.
    Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
Dash: [muttering] Which is another way of saying no one is.

I'm the opposite of you. I haven't jumped into multiplayer yet, but I'm loving the single player part of the game. I'm waiting for multiplayer until I can get my own server up and running. Hopefully I'll get that done today, if work isn't too busy.

I finished the Russian campaign last night, and will probably start on the British one tonight.

      Dear old Nebraska U.

      The boys are the squarest,

      Where they're all true blue.
      We'll all stick together,
      In all kinds of weather,

How are the missions in singleplayer? I know they were trying to give more of a sense of freedom in how the objectives are carried out. Does the game lead you along a path or can you roam about the map, freely?
