So I'm buying a XBOX(the original)....

My old one broke(may it RIP ) and I'm looking into purchasing a new one. I figure with the release of the 360 it'll give me some good choices in prices. Plus they're aren't enough quality games out yet to warrant me purchasing any of the new generation games for a while. I looking to get a good year and a half out of it.

So my question is?? What games are the best for me to purchase....I'm thinking about: ESPN NBA 2K6, NFL2K5, NCAA FB 2006, GTA: SA, Ninja Gaiden, etc.

What kind of price do you think I could get for as system and games like that(or in that range)? I pretty much have a $150 limit. Is 80-100 bucks unrealistic?

I'm only going to buy maybe 2 games, 3 tops...I should've been more clear. Basically it's like this:

XBOX
2 controllers
2-3 games(GTA, NFL2K5, etc.)

Im currently selling one on ebay and it is at 99$. That is with one controller and halo 2. Im not sure the rules on saying this on the boards. If we arent supposed to put it on here i will delete my post. I think there is an hour left in the auction.

I sold my Xbox on EBAY for $230 US.

It included the advanced AV pack, 3 controllers, and 5 games (Splinter Cell, SC:Chaos, NHL 2K5, NHL 2K6, Halo2)

So figure out what you think you should pay in your situation.

Why are you buying an old Xbox anyways? The new one comes out in a few weeks? Rather than spend $150 - $200 now and then $300 - $400 a year from now, wouldn't it just be easier to spend $500.00 once?

Games: KotOR or Jade Empire. Fable is a great game and a steal at $20 new. Ninja Gaiden is an excellent game as well, although the camera gets in the way at times. Also, pick up Halo and at least one Splinter Cell game.

wait if ou said your xbox died, then why would you need to new controllers, don't you still have the ones from the old xbox that dies?

Those are pretty old and crappy. One is from launch and the other is when the S controller came out. I have about 2 or 3 games already but they're pretty banged up as well.
