New Perfect Dark Zero Impressions (1UP)
Perfect Dark Zero may not be anywhere close to a Halo in the making, but any way you look at it, the game is shaping up to be a true killer app. As if the Hong Kong rooftop and car garage levels we saw at X05 weren't evidence enough, seeing these new areas in Perfect Dark Zero has convinced us that Joanna definitely has what it takes to carry the 360 launch next month.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

i get the feeling that this will be the game of choice for me, and will get the most play time until next year: the next editions of madden and ncaa; and gears of war. then halo. oh man i don't know if i should get the system at launch, or wait a couple months to see if the price will go down significantly.Originally posted by FlawlessComment

Interesting comments about the A.I.
"The enemy defends each major building, and each one has enemies positioned up stairs and down. All of the enemy AI moves when you train your reticule on them, moving from window to door opening to take shots at you, and then moving on again. Even in the easy mode, it's impressive to watch the AI intelligently move across the landscape. For instance, I cleared out a building and occupied it, and set up to clear out another one, about 50 feet across from me. In the second story window, I watched an AI bolt out the door. He moved quickly, forcing me to track him with my gun up to my eye, but unable to take him out. He stopped at a stone wall to avoid fire, I shot at him and missed, and he sprung toward the door of the building I was in! He was charging right at me! He made it quite far, until he entered the building, wherein my squad tagged him good. If I hadn't been on easy mode, I wouldn't have had the luxury of watching him without dying, but as it was, his sheer gall and intelligent charge was nonetheless impressive."
The enemy AI does other smart things. It flanks you, throws grenades, and recognizes when you throw grenades at it, as well as when you lift a gun up to your eye to take aim. It sees this and hides. If you kill an enemy manning a turret gun, the opposition will replace him ASAP. Oftentimes, when you've dropped an enemy to the ground, they're not actually dead. You have to stop and watch to see if they're still moving. Depending on where you've shot an enemy soldier, he'll drop to his back or stomach, and reach for his pistol -- even from a long distance away, and try to kill you before he dies. This is surprising and annoying -- but nonetheless respectable -- when it happens. The mission ends when you clear all of the buildings."

Originally I was on the fence with the 360 after the BK video of Madden 06. However, with all of this information, college break this winter will be occupied mostly by my new 360.
I simply can't wait for Call of Duty 2, Condemned, Madden, and NBA2K6.Comment

Is it crazy that I had a dream las nigth that told me not to order NBA League Pass but instead to put the money towards a 360 and now I'm cosidering it because I think "fate" has stepped in?Favorite Teams:

"Kameo: Elements of Power is definitely going to surprise a lot of skeptics. Anyone who loves that 3-D action style adventure of The Legend of Zelda will find plenty to love here. The potential of ten different playable characters all with drastically different and upgradeable move sets boggles the mind when it comes to battle and puzzle-solving possibilities. If Rare can keep the challenge and variety up throughout the entire game, which I have a feeling they will, Microsoft could have a huge hit on their hands. Kameo has all of the elements in place to exceed Rare’s heyday in the N64 days, and bring back the developer’s good name. Now if only we could see a sequel before the Xbox 720 comes out…"
