Selling your Xbox on Ebay is some BS!

I am selling my Xbox on Ebay and the auction ends in 10 hours. So I decided to check on my auction. I put Xbox into the search function and I realized that my auction wasnt coming up during a search. So I contacted Ebay's help center and they tell me that the reason why the auction isnt showing up because I didnt buy the 19.95 Featured Plus feature.

Now I can understand listing the Featured Plus users first but I cant understand making it impossible to find non Featured Plus items. Even though, I have 7 users watching my auction, I'm afraid that my auction is gonna go for significantly less then it wuld have if people could see the auction. Anybody know a way around this?

I have the same concerns as you. My xbox plus 19 games, 4 controllers, AR, DVD Kit etc... is going for $30 so far and has a little over a day left. There is only 1 person watching it. I am glad I put a reserve on mine now.

Aaron, I had the same problem when I was selling NCAA 2006. When I would try to find mine auction, it was never there. I would use the listing no. and it would come up. I logged out, put the item number in and it would take me right to it. However, when I would go to NCAA, XBOX, Used, and items ending soonest, my auction for NCAA never would be listed among those ending soonest. I didn't know what the hell was going on. Luckily, it sold for $30.

I'll see if I can get yours to come up.

Yeah, I'm just hoping that the 7 people watching will bid on it...this is leaving me with a bad taste about ebay

I've never had a problem like that. You shouldn't have to buy anything extra to make your auctions show up in a search.

As a matter of fact, I just searched for a game I'm selling and it was in the list that I searched. I don't think you all are searching correctly...

aaron, are you in columbia, md? If so, I came across an auction for xbox, 2 wireless controllers, and 9 games. I know you're in the D.C. area, thought maybe that was you.

Exactly. Are you sure you're listing it in the right category, right sub-category, etc.?

I've sold more than 200 items on eBay and never have paid an extra cent for boldface, Featured Item, etc.

But I've also had items with no bids with six hours to go sell for good money after a fierce, late bidding war.

Seriously, to those selling Xboxes, you're a little late to the party. The eBay market is flooded right now with Xboxes as people ditch their consoles late in anticipation of the Xbox 360, so the demand is pretty low. You're not going to earn as much as you would have if you sold it a month ago.

Sincere good luck to all of you.

                      Take care,

Wow, I'm suprised that there are still alot of XBOXs selling on the heels of the 360 release. Shows that the XBOX is'nt even close to dying yet.
