If the 360 controller is PC-compatible....

Why couldn't MS design a mouse and keyboard that would interface with the 360? I play a lot of FPS games on my PC and I will always, 100 times out of 100, choose to play those games on PC instead of consoles because of the mouse and keyboard controls. They're just infinitely more precise and controllable than analog console controllers.

Any idea why MS wouldn't market a keyboard/mouse control scheme for the 360? I can't be the only one turned off by console controllers for games like COD2....

    Who says they won't eventually?

Seriously, it's all speculation right now but what peripherals are available on release and what will be available a year from now will be night and day. Right now I think they just want to get this thing out there and into living rooms in volume... I don't see why a keyboard couldn't happen considering the 360 is basically something like a PC on roids.

      God I hope not.
When I game on a console I want be able to just lay on the couch and play a game. I already have a PC for games with mouse/keyboard controls.
When the XBOX first came out there were people who wanted it(Keyboard/Mouse) but the big thing haters put out was that the XBOX was just a watered down PC so adding keyboard and mouse funtionality would have fueled that.

Anyways I have a different mindset when it comes to console gaming. I want it quick and painless. I don't want to worry about hooking up a mouse etc and then finding a comfortable position to ba able to play it. I have a computer desk for PC gaming and a couch for Plug and Play gaming.
