Which War?

Only so many games can be based on WWII right? I mean, eventually games will have to start going into the Civil War, Vietnam, Gulf War, Spanish-American, etc, right?

Which war game would you like to see?

And I know there have been some Vietnam, etc games, but nothing to the extent of WWII games.

I long for a great civil war game as I am quite a civil war buff. I remember playing north vs south on my nes and loving it. WW I would be cool too, mainly because not too many people know about it and may teach about what the war was and how it was won.

WWII had combat in every type of environment and in every imaginable situation. Not to mention the fact that it truly was the last great war. That's why there are so many of them and why they will always be the most appealing.

To be honest, I'd love to see a Vietnam war and probably a Revolutionary war. Civil war would be tight too but that might be too controversial cause a lot would have to be put in there that might not fly right with all these....."politicians" and stuff. If we could get them all, I'd be greatful. Just have to get the right company to be inspired. Heck, I'd also love to see great wars of other countries made into games too whether fact or fiction....

There have already been numerous Vietnam games, though they all for the most part suck or are average. *cough* Vietcong *cough*

If I had to choose I would say Korean War since it was shortly after World War II and it would be nice to see a few new weapons and such, but aside from Mash there has been very little interest in the Korean War from what I have seen. World War I would also be nice but if I had to pick, it would just be WWII.

American Revolutionary War would be very interesting. Especially if you were one of the rag-tag type soldiers, seems like they could do a lot with the storyline.

See, it depends on who does it. If the right company gets there hands on it and put a hot storyline to follow, then that would be sweet. I heard of Vietcong but I don't think it appealed to me. I'm sure there would be some great games out there. I know they have Dynasty Warriors but if they could get some realism in a game like that, I'd be so into it. If only.......

Or at least change more than one small thing each version. (seriously anyone that bought more than one Dynasty Warrior game needs help, they are practically all the same )

I'd like to see the guys behind Call of Duty or Brother In Arms take on Vietnam. Hasn't been a good game about Nam yet imo. I was hoping Men of Valor would have been better.
