    what use is G4?

    I have alays been a die hard sports gamer but i have never had G4 on my cable tier. well a few months ago i switched to a sat. dish and purchased a package that includes G4. even though i havent watched it much , i assumed that approaching the launch of a next gen console the station would be flooded with preiviews, talk, info., and the like but everytime i scan the program listings .....nothing..... this is like tuning to ESPN during the superbowl time and not finding anything footbal related. but a bunch of .. um....golf.....

      I use to watch it but I got sick of the endless reruns and the lack of actual game news.

          Yeah ever since they merged with Tech TV. G4 sucked. Most of their programming has nothing to do with gaming. I flip to it rarely.

              And is it just me or is fastlane or the car shows on everytime you turn to it? I swear, I rarely see any of the game shows anymore.

                  Man, I have to agree. G4TV.com is useless without Scott Rubin now. Judgement Day, as annoying as it was, actually (at times) reviewed updated games, and showed nice clips of them... is rarely on anymore. Cinematch just plain doesn't show any good games period. I mean... it just sucks now. Yes, I will go back to it and watch it every so often, but it's nothing that it used to be.

                      G4 is owned by Comcast, who are business partners with Sony. They have a Sony Entertainment Executive on their board. You can expect plenty of promo material when the PS3 is coming out...
