    XBox 360 Broken Down

Here is a link to all the hardware broken down and analyzed. Its supposed to be the first such article. A tech buddy sent it to me. I can't even read it since there is so much traffic.

Seeking answers? Join the AnandTech community: where nearly half-a-million members share solutions and discuss the latest tech.

Give it a try if possible and even post the info for others to read as the site traffic is huge right now.

I read it earlier, and Anandtech just needs to stop commenting on the architectures of consoles, because it's quite clear, they have lost their senses.

Well I just read it. It is mainly for tech heads as I don't understand a lot of it but it does go on to say the backwards compatibility is done through a software emulator and requires the new hard drive. For all those that don't get the hard drive, they won't be able to download the patch to play their older games.

It does say that their stacked 3 processors are capable of doing 6 things simultaneously but most launch games are only doing 1-2 things right now. A lot of promise for future improvements I guess. Its a decent read but again, if you don't know much about CPU architecture (I don't), its a tough read.

Actually, according to Todd Holmdahl you can, "burn a CD from xbox.com or sign up on Xbox.com for a CD that can be delivered to your home at a nominal shipping and handling fee."
