From reports I have read, they will not use HD-DVD for games, just movies. It would have been better if they used HD-DVD from the start so they will have to use less compression down the line for bigger games. -

Really old.....
At this point, it remains to be seen if HD-DVD will even make it to market. BluRay has gained more momentum since then, convincing at least 1 major Hollywood studio to make content on BluRay instead of just being exclusive to HD-DVD as they were before.
That is why Microsoft is doing the "wait and see" approach with HD-DVD. No point in adding significant cost per unit for something that is basically still vaporware.Comment

By the way, that is old. Around August or September, Microsoft had another article that they were teaming up with Japan or some Asian nation to research a new type of media that they could implement into their XBOX 360 possibly through downloadable content. I'm definitely liking that news better.Comment
