I know where you're coming from however. The way I see it is if I do happen to get an HDTV, my gf will do nothing but own the living room where the DVR is right now so I would barely have the HDTV to mayself anyhow. She tapes so many damn shows that whenever she does'nt have a show on, she has a show on the harddrive she could watch. Its like a endless cycle. This would get even worse if HDTV was in the mix.

Come to think about it, now I have no reason to get one. I game in seperate rooms myself. Ethier in my PC room or downstairs in her brothers apartment.

Exactly, Its hard to explain, but I don't mind sitting in the basement in an office chair watching 3 regular 27" TV's(I call it my Hillbilly picture in picture). I have a highback leather office chair that I game in and my computer is down there too. The wife gets the TV in the livingroom, its just always been that way. And now that we have a Baby girl, we just play with her in the livingroom and feed her while we watch TV, I just don't think it would fly for me to tell my wife to take the baby and go to the basement while I played videogames. Besides that, she just let me cut a big check for my golf membership next year so its all fair......

Back to the 360. I hope everyone that gets it, finds it as good as they hope it to be. I wouldn't worry about the HDTV, just get that as soon as you can. There still isn't enough HDTV programming for my tatse yet. I can't wait until everything is in HD.

Thats funny, I have my HDTV in my miving room, and my girl can careless about the HDTV, plus she knows that the living room is my TV watching/game playing Area, so I have no issues with watching my HDTV that I PAID FOR..She watches TV in the room always with my daughter, if there is nno sports on, she can watch the TV anytime she wants.

well, my wife was in the "we don't need that tv" camp before I bought it. So I had to buy it myself. Now, she always wants to watch the HDTV. She gets an attitude when I ask her to go to another room and watch tv so I can play games or watch sports.

The living room is the only room where we have a DVR and my gf is hooked to that thing like its crack. Its gotten to the point where if I wanted to record something, like a game I want to watch later, she's be taping something so I'm forced to go back to the old school VCR. Plus I paied for the damn thing. There is a good tradeoff though, the more she watches her taped programs, the more time I have for gaming so I dont complain.

As for the HDTV, it'll definitely go in the living room and if I got it soley for a 360, it'll be a waste cause she'll still always be recording something.

This was the same thing when I made that DIY projector. She thought I was nuts for putting that thing up but I catch her watching it more often than I do.

well i would love to have the option,i bought a hdtv in anticipation of the 360,but this shortage has had my order cancelled cuz i was down to about first of the year,and refuse to have some one hold my money..i got the TV but no 360 coming,but plan to be in line somwhere on monday nite,as well as a buddy has a sams card,and can get in at 7am....so i have options its whether the work for me or not? i am toolooking at going to gamestop to look at madden and hopefully nba2k6 really the only 2 games i am wanting right now.....

Crazy to not buy one if you dont have an hdtv, I dont have one will eventually get one within the next year but I'm still getting a 360 for sure.

HDTV isn't the only reason why I'm not bumming too much. There isn't any release titles that I really wanted. Those got pushed back. COD2 looks good, but I can play that on my PC is I really wanted to.

Alot of the games seem to be rentals in the sense that you can complete them in a day or two. 60 bucks for two days? Nah.

I'll be on board in a few months. Til then I'm gonna play the Xbox games I got, and add CHoops this week.

I am still excited about the release though and hearing what it's like for you guys.
