When Meijer did their release for the original Xbox in my town, they did a drawing of numbers to see who got one. A friend of mine got one, but three of us didn't. It'll definitely be a good idea to check and see how they are handling it this time around.

      I can't believe I pre-ordered in June and can't get one.
As I stated earlier the Target in my area are only selling the $299 Core unit.

Yes, that's the reason I'm going with BestBuy all the way.

A little off the subject but KMart informed me that they are still waiting on their units.

I heard that some Toys R Uses are selling bundled sets. My Toys R Us is first come first serve starting at 10AM. They only have FIVE $299 consoles and FOUR $399 consoles.

Hmm. I have a SuperTarget right next door to me that normally closes at 10 pm. I imagine even if they do have premium units, they're probably not staying open late to sell them. I guess I'll have to stop by to find out.

I was asking more about what Target's procedure is: first-come first-serve, handing out tickets a la Walmart, line-up, or whatever. Oh well.

My Target is totally first come first serve. I don't know about any tickets, but it would all come down to "first come, first serve" no matter how you slice it.
