Re: So am I screwed xbox live related...
I am trying to figure this out too. I have not traded my xbox in yet and have really been waiting to find out the answer about deleting my info and if I do so would it be possible for the person who buys my xbox to recover my account info. -
Re: So am I screwed xbox live related...
You can go ahead and delete the info on your Xbox; it is just a file on your hard drive. You can only retrieve accounts if you have the credit card number that was used to pay for XBL.Last edited by zasbury25; 11-21-2005, 01:25 AM.XBL & PSN: zasbury25Comment

When you activate XBL on your 360, it cancels out the console you previously registered XBL on. As for the original poster, call XBL customer service and people please always delete your files before trading them or selling them. I always ask my customers who are trading them in if they have XBL on it so I can delete the file in front of them.S.O.S Crew

Re: So am I screwed xbox live related...
I had the same issue you did, as far as having a different credit card # and forgetting to put my current card # on my XBL account.
What I wound up having to do was go to my bank and get them to write down what my old CC# was, so I can use that in the account recovery process on the XBox 360.
As for your old XBox....that's a tough call. You MAY want to just call customer service, tell them to cancel that account, and start fresh with a new one.Comment
