How do you get sound using the VGA adapter?

I can't figure out how to get sound. My sound card doesn't accept any inputs like the ones that come with the VGA card. I've used the adapter that came it but that won't give me sound either. Can anyone help?

It actually comes with that but it still won't put sound out my speakers.

Go into your sound card settings and make sure that your "Line in" isn't muted. Many setups do that by default.
