I've been playing mine for two hours straight and I put my hand back there and whoa is the plastic hot. I put it horizontal in a shelf right now but I am thinking about removing it so it has more air flow somewhere else. Also once the game is playing do yours stay on loud as hell till you go back to the 360 menu?

I'm not having these sort of problems but I've read about others. Mine is vertical. It's not much louder than the normal Xbox or the PS2. -

Well mine hasn't froze yet but its pretty hot in that area so I'm a little worried. I'm going to run some errands for the next two hours and leave it on and hopefully when I come back it is still going.Comment

The fan noise on mine seems abnormally loud. I can't really hear it with the volume on but when I pause the game I hear it pretty loud.Comment

Well after turning it off for 30 minutes to let it cool down I turned it back on and the back instantly almost turned warm. By the way those that aren't having issues what is your manufactors date? Mine is 10-12-05.
