    Please help my dumb arse out (Re: Xbox Live)

    Ok, so I cannot transfer my existing Live account to my 360. I can connect fine, but when I enter my gamertag and billing info, no dice. I must have either the wrong credit card info or phone number, because I really don't recall which ones I used when I first signed up.

    I know that I can go on my original Xbox and look at the billing info they have on file, but for the life of me, I cannot find any "account management" section. I have my Xbox1 at my work right now (only a couple miles away), but earlier, I was looking and didn't see anything anywhere in the dash or Xbox Live area for billing or account management.

    Someone please clue me in here. I know I have seen it several times before on there, and it's starting to annoy me. LOL.

      Are you registered on xbox.com? and have your gamertag linked?

          That'll do it. If you don't, you'll need the billing info to get started on xbox.com.

              Speaking of linking gamer tags..when I linked mine it was to a email address I now no longer have. How do I link it to my current email address?

                  You can't unless you are able to still log into that email address. If you can't then your next best step is to try and contact someone on xbox.com

                      Yeah, that's the problem. I attempted to link my gamertag on xbox.com, and it still needed the same billing info I was getting stuck on during the 360 "sign up".

                      I really didn't want to have to do this, but do I have to call their 800 # and sit on hold for 236,178 hours now? The site says there is an "account management" option on the original Xbox dashboard where I can find all the info I need regarding my Live account.

                              on the original xbox you can go to that and there you will need the last 4 numbers of the cardit card that you use to buy xbox live. If you are able to get in there. you will find your information such as Email, your address where you live and all a bunch of other stuff. Thats if you are able to access your Gamertag on your old XBOX. Also do you know if you are still subscribe to xbox live, like was your membership renewed?

                              As for Dookie...I think if you go to www.aol.com...try and sign. I think you might still be able to access the email account that way. If you can't then yeah you have to call xbox.com or whomever you need to.

                                  Yeah, I am still subscribed. I think I just realized why I couldn't get to my billing info before. It is because my old Xbox isn't connected to the internet right now down at my work. It just now dawned on me that I probably have to be connected before I can see any of those options.

                                  I'll connect it tomorrow and see what's up. Thanks guys.
