    Convergence of your HDTV

Has anyone else had to do this tedious process?

I have a 56" rear projection widescreen hd set. Bought it in December of 2000 and it's been thru 3 moves.

Well, needless to say 1080i was all out of wack when the 360 first booted up. LUCKILY, I found out a few months ago how to get into service mode on my tv because the regular convergence option that is available to the owner was not helping.

Reds, Greens, and Blues were all out of alignment. Basically, the 360 would of been unplayable for me in high def if I wasn't able to get into service mode and converge it. 720p was also out of alignment slightly.

Has anyone else had to have theirs converged?

    Re: Convergence of your HDTV

i havent had this problem but my problem is that i only have 2 slots with hdtv input, my direct tv is plugged into one and my dvd player is using the other so since my sound comes from my dvd player surround sound, i have to unplug my direct tv, and plug in the 360 whenever i want to play.

Get an HD switcher -- I got one at Gamestop for like $20 and have my DVD player, XBox, and PS2 all hooked up through it. Works great -- no quality reduction whatsoever.
Quit making your stupid YouTube videos and start playing the game.
